About Dr Shannon Zawada

DrShannonZawada

Dr. Shannon Zawada is a Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and holds certification as a Board Certified CREI Fertility Specialist. Dr. Shannon Zawada graduated medicine from Sydney University Medical School. Following her time as a junior doctor at Royal Prince Alfred in Sydney, Shannon pursued specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She earned her Masters of Medicine in Reproductive Health Science and Human Genetics from The University of Sydney.

After completing her training as a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Shannon pursued an additional three years of accredited training through RANZCOG (Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) to earn her Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) at various IVF units. The CREI represents the highest post-graduate qualification available in the IVF field in Australia and New Zealand, and is currently held by fewer than 100 Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.


Throughout her training at the Royal Hospital for Women, she gained additional experience in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. Shannon is a lecturer at The Sydney University Medical School. Shannon consults at the Royal Hospital for Women, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital, and St Luke’s Care. In her practice, she offers care to patients of all ages in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
